WirtschaftsWoche TOP Law Firm 2019Berner Fleck Wettich awarded as TOP Law Firm for corporate law 2019 – three Partners listed as TOP corporate lawyers’

The German business magazine  WirtschaftsWoche has awarded Berner Fleck Wettich in its current issue ass TOP Law Firm for corporate law 2019. At the same time, three partners, Olaf Berner, Thilo Fleck and Carsten Wettich, have been included in the list of the best corporate lawyers in Germany. This makes Berner Fleck Wettich one of only eight law firms in Germany and the only boutique with such a high number of mentions in the TOP corporate lawyers’ ranking.

For the selection of the best German corporate lawyers, the Handelsblatt Research Institute (HRI) interviewed more than 4,000 lawyers in 245 law firms about their most renowned colleagues. From this list, a jury of experts selected the 55 top law firms in Germany and the 86 best corporate lawyers.

Berner Fleck Wettich with Carsten Wettich represented in the JUVE “40 under 40” listing JUVE presents 40 aspiring lawyers who own the future

For the fourth time, JUVE presents 40 lawyers from law firms, corporates and the judiciary, for whom they predict a great future in the market. Berner Fleck Wettich is represtend in the list with its partner Carsten Wettich. What unites them all: They have not yet celebrated their 40th birthday.

According to JUVE, the “40 under 40” list is the result of many years of market observation and numerous editorial discussions. This is a prediction by the JUVE editors, whom the professional public will perceive as an “outperformer” in the future. In the market research for the well-known JUVE handbook, the editors analyzed the extraordinary deals, major processes and consulting projects for recurring names, and looked at a wide variety of legal areas, firm sizes and company sizes. The list is varied: 25 of the 40 lawyers come from law firms – large firms and boutiques, 15 from corporates or the judiciary.

The corporate law boutique Berner Fleck Wettich has been included again by „JUVE Verlag für juristische Information“ in its JUVE handbook German Commercial Law Firms. Besides the ranking for Western Germany (region Duesseldorf), the boutique firm has been included in the national ranking for corporate and M&A practice for the first time.

As in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, the corporate law boutique Berner Fleck Wettich has been distinguished by the international law directory IFLR1000 – “The Guide to the World’s Leading Financial Law Firms” for its Corporate and M&A practice and has been ranked in its annual ranking for M&A – Germany 2019.

In the review, IFLR 1000 states:

Berner Fleck Wettich is a German firm recognised in M&A. In terms of recent transactions, the firm advised both buyers and sellers, with the emphasis on representing acquirers. For example, the firm advised Robert Bosch Group on its 100% acquisition of MTA.

The firm hired Christian Nienkemper as partner in M&A from Hengeler Mueller in 2017.

The firm has also advised various private families, along with Sazka Group, Atlas Mara Beteiligungs, and Cognotekt, to name a few.
